SWAT agents raid Ala. Bunker
I am not in any way condoning his actions. But I am looking at this in a type of AAR. We gun owners and freedom types like to say that they'll take our guns from our cold, dead hands, and that we'll fight it out and make sure that the ratio of us vs. them is unequal.
But it's not looking like that. We have a Vietnam Veteran getting into a firefight with SWAT officers and the ONLY casualty is the Vet. None of the LEOs took a hit. If the hammer comes down, are we going to lose, and badly?
I have great respect for LEOs, and this guy was a nutjob of the first order. I am definitely rooting for the LEOs on this one. They did great, they got the kid out, and saved the taxpayers a lengthy trial and incarceration of the bad guy. Awesome.
My point is, when the "from my cold, dead hands" time comes, are they going to win and freedom lost? They are getting damn good at this. All the .gov has to do is pick us off one at a time, just like they did in Iraq and just like they are doing in Afghanistan and Pakistan.
Help me out here guys, what say you?
Tactical guess: they used a fiber-optic camera to watch for when he fell asleep, then a laser cutter to silently open the door then shot him the moment he stirred.
ReplyDeleteI doubt they tried any drugs because the hostage would be far more sensitive to such agents than the target.
Being besieged by an opponent with disrupted supply, reinforcement, and communication lines is a losing game historically. Too much initiative is ceded to the besieger.
Look at what has and hasn't worked for each side throughout recent and distant history and find what applies no matter what technological changes happen.
Patience.
First off, one can no longer believe the official story proposed by the .gov on anything in the media. They'll hype shit to sell airtime and .gov favors. The cops?
ReplyDeleteThey are always going to be portrayed as the righteous heroes of the incident, even if they murder kids.
The media, therefor anything coming out on media has been co opted. There is no doubt about this. The meme is to show an all powerful "force" that is government agents. Nothing could be further from the truth.
You/we get what they want us to get. Nothing more.
imho. These turds are not superman and with proper tactical actions, can be taken down at will.
Tapping yourself in a bunker was not the smartest of moves but then again, taking a kid hostage while free was pretty stupid too. This story changed a couple times so this idiot probably would have gotten probation or a very short jail stay. Hell, he was never charged for anything other than unlawful discharge.
I think he wanted to be suicided by cop or some heroic blaze of glory thing.
He was a dumbass.
Look to LA. One guy has an entire region shitting razor blades. Move. Strike. Move. Imagine 20 of him in one city.
