Yeah, I read about that. I think Odysseus's friend had a lapse in judgement. I'm not quite sure the new neighbors know about me yet.
I'm tempted to go over there and say something, while OC'ing. I probably won't though, I'm not one to make waves.
I had my hand on my revolver during the whole interaction. My other hand was full of groceries I was bringing in the house. I was ready to draw and fire if things got squirrelly.
Neither is coming up behind them and poking a knuckle in their back before telling them "Sir, you're going to have to come with me."

My kids got into trouble once for playing with a laser pointer. Scared some poor little girl taking out the trash.
